Somewhere between Loire Chenin and Chablis in style, this refreshing white wine expressing both the varietal character of the Furmint variety and the typical minerality of the vineyards of Mád village. Well structured and well balanced, wonderfully elegant blend of apricot and peaches with a warming, ginger spice. Just off dry in style with great structure and minerality. Great!

The Szent Tamás winery was founded by two Hungarian businessmen and the son of Hungary's most famous and influential producers- Istevan Szepsy. They firmly believe the village of MÁD in the remote Tokaj region of Hungary is one of the great wine producing areas of the world. Working with vineyards that were shaped by several volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, their goal is to ensure that the once world renowned Tokaj Crus of MÁD would capture wine world`s attention again. Currently are working with 15 hectares of old vines in 9 different Crus, the MÁD Dry Furmint was created to be a benchmark representation of the village of MÁD through the collaborative work of the Szent Tamás winery and an ever growing number of small landowners.

This natural wine is chocca block packed full of bramble fruit notes with raspberry and blackberry dominating the aroma, smooth and juicy with complex notes of blueberry and moderate acidity and smooth tannins on the finish.

Made with Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio / Sivi Pinot).  Fermented in stainless steel, the wine then spends two months on fine lees to develop texture. Bottled unfined and gently filtered. 

Ripe grapefruit, almonds and citrus, flavours on the nose. Moderate acidity, with a fleshy stone fruit character, very elegant on the palate and finish.

Verus (Latin for “true”) is an exciting new winery founded in 2007 and owned by three friends who now produce some of the most exciting white wines coming out of Slovenia. The 12 hectare vineyards are located around Ormoz in the appellation of Styria (Stajerska) on the Jeruzalem-Ormoz hills close to the Hungarian-Croatian borders. The cool climate here is influenced by the Alps, the Adriatic Sea and the Pannonian Plain.
The wines are true expressions of each grape variety and are bottled under screw cap with anexquisitely designed label. Their inaugural vintage 2007 received much acclaim from the press and wine writers and previews the future success of this young dynamic winery.

Medium to full bodied with a dark ruby colour and aromas of black cherries and berries, sweet spices and vanilla. The finish is soft and long with hints of black pepper and tobacco.

Stone fruits on the nose, followed by citrus, and a crushed stone character. Subtle integration of oak. Typicity, vibrant palate, minerality, rich fruit, and a touch of creamy oak on the finish.

The Furmint grapes are hand-harvested from 20-year-old vines. The grapes are pressed and transferred to stainless steel for fermentation. Post fermentation 50% of Tornai's Premium Furmint is aged in 500 L Hungarian oak, on the lees, for 3 months, and 50% remains stainless steel. After which the two wines are blended and given time to harmonize and settle before bottling.

Lively, lush, late harvest wine, the natural sugar concentration is balanced by refreshing acidity. Floral, fruity intense aromas, a touch of minerality and fresh fruity lingering finish.

This wine is made by "wild" fermentation. The vineyards are situated on the hills of South Sakar mountain, nearby village of Shishmanovo. Natural crystal sediment may appear.

Wild fermented Merlot and Syrah - beautiful medium intensive red colour with brick nuaces. Lovely bouquet of fruit and spicy aromas dominated by plum, cherry, a touch of cardamon and nutmeg. Fruity, juicy and elegant body with good structure. Leather and loquoric notes, finishing with fine and intriguing aftertaste of blackcurrant and tobacco leaves.
