MARCH

Intro to Wine Thursday 26th at 8pm - £20 (£15*)
A brief yet fascinating introduction to wine tasting and wine drinking in general! We will go through some practical tips on how to get the most enjoyment out of trying wines and embark on a whistlestop tour of some of the most popular wine regions and grape varieties. A perfect way to begin your journey around the world of wine.

APRIL

Whose Nose Knows? Thursday 2nd at 8pm - £10
Join us for a light hearted "Call My Bluff" style wine tasting of a selection of our favourite wines. One wine 3 descriptions, but who is telling the truth? Guess correctly, and you could walk away with our star prize! There will also be an exhibition of prints by the late Beryl Cook, shown courtesy of Leading Art Events and available for sale. A light buffet will be provided.

A Beginner's Guide to Burgundy Wednesday 22nd at 8pm- £20 (£15*)
Land of small villages and expensive wine, Burgundy can present something of a minefield for even the most intrepid of wine fans. But, fear not, as Vincent Delcher from Bourgogne de Vigne en Verre is here to guide us through. BVV is one of the finest and most experienced negociants in this wonderful region, and Vincent has a wealth of knowledge (and some fantastic wines!) to share with us.

MAY

Undiscovered Italy Thursday 7th at 8pm - £20 (£15*)
It is a real shame that of the 60 plus major grape varieties grown in Italy we often only see a handful for sale in the UK. In this tasting we set out to prove that there is a lot more to Italy than Chianti and Pino Grigiot. Whether it is crisp, floral Arneis from Piedmont or rich, purple Sagrantino from Umbria you are sure to sample something new, original and delicious!

Coming soon - Cellar Door Wines Grand Tasting at the St Albans Food & Drink Festival. Date TBC

Throughout the final weekend of the Food & Drink Festival in June/July we will be holding a big walkaround tasting in the Old Town Hall. As those of you who made it down there last year will agree, this is a great event, with plenty of superb wines to try, both from our shelves and some new ones too.
